You can create custom attributes from Product settings → Attributes to track anything about your tasks that you and your team care about and aren't supported by default in the Height starter pack of Status, Lists, Assignee, etc.
We support a number of custom attribute types, including Text, Multi-select, Single select, Date, Users, and Tasks.
Text type can be used for any freeform things you want to record.
Multi-select type attributes are like multi-select options in a dropdown menu, and good for when you want people to choose as many options as apply. For example, "Tags" is often a multi-select type, where a task can have both the tag "Growth" and "Crazy idea".
Single select type attributes are like single-select options in a dropdown menu, useful for when you only want users to be able to pick one option for a task at a time. For example, for "Priority", a task can be "High" or "Low", but it cannot be both "High" and "Low" at the same time.
Date type attributes can be used whenever you want to have a date attached to a task and can be used for things like "Start date", "Due date", and "ETA".
Users type attributes are great for when you want to track who is doing something for a task, and can be used for things like "Account manager", "Product lead", "Designer", or "Reviewer".
Tasks type attributes are good for when you want to specify some relationship to another task within Height, and can be used for things like "Blocked by", "Epic" or "Project".
